Hispanic Heritage Month Kick-Off

This years Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM) will include Talent Show, Faculty Social, Mini World Cup, and more. The kick-off of this event will be on Thursday, September 12 from 11-12pm at the Campanile (fountain next to student center). Please like the FACEBOOK PAGE to stay informed of the events.

Call for Abstracts

This year the SHPE national conference will be in Indianapolis from Oct. 30 – Nov. 3. Students can participate in the TECHNICAL PAPER/POSTER COMPETITION and receive complimentary registration/lodging for the conference. The presentations dont have to be on new findings, so you can use old presentations or posters. Awards will be given to the top 3 in each catergory. Deadline for abstract submission is September 18, 6PM (PST).

Paid Tutors Needed

Do you have a passion for mentoring and tutoring? Would you like to make an impact on the life of a young person? If so, Georgia Tech’s CEISMC Academic Mentoring Programs are looking for you! All of our programs operate with a similar goal: to improve performance and interest in STEM by providing tutors and mentors to schools in the Atlanta and Gwinnett county areas.
Tutors and mentors are assigned to particular students and are asked to assist them with their studies one-on-one or in small groups. Mentors and tutors also increase students’ interest in science, technology, and engineering by engaging them in fun hands-on-activities. Tutors and mentors work with the same children throughout the academic year in order to forge a strong “learning partnership.” Currently, we have several opportunities to tutor and mentor students in the Atlanta and Gwinnett county areas. College students from all Metro Atlanta area colleges are encouraged to apply.

Membership Application

All new and returning members must complete the membership application ONLINE. This will help us keep up to date information on all members and resumes for sponsoring companies. Membership dues can be paid online (paypal) or to one of the officers.
