Red Brick Brewery Social

Come out to LOGRAS first social of the year at RED BRICK BREWERY on Friday, August 28 from 5-8pm. The cost is $10 that includes a souvenir cup. Currently there is a GROUPON that includes 2 souvenir cups and 2 t-shirts for $22. Please complete this GOOGLE DOC to organize carpool for students.

Membership Application

All new and returning members must complete the membership application ONLINE. This will help us keep up to date information on all members and resumes for sponsoring companies. Membership dues can be paid online (paypal) or to one of the officers.

SHPE Conference

This year the SHPE national conference will be in Indianapolis from Oct. 30 – Nov. 3. Students can participate in the TECHNICAL PAPER/POSTER COMPETITION and receive complimentary registration/lodging for the conference. The presentations dont have to be on new findings, so you can use old presentations or posters. Awards will be given to the top 3 in each catergory. Deadline for abstract submission is September 18, 6PM (PST).

Fellowship/Scholarship Meeting

Our next general meeting will be about fellowships and scholarships available for Hispanic graduate students. We will have current fellowship recipients give advice on applying and a handout with a list of scholarships. Food will be provided. Meeting will be on Tuesday, September 17 from 11-12pm at Student Center room 320.

Volleyball Intramurals

LOGRAS is in the waiting list for volleyball in the graduate division. Games will be on Wednesday’s from 7-9pm. In case a spot is available please email Kevin Rodriguez if interested.
